Cleveland Cavaliers

So tonight is the final day of the NBA regular season, and my Cleveland Cavaliers, led by my boy LBJ(if you don't know who that is you are not really my friend :( ), will be taking on the Detroit Pistons.

For those of you that have not been keeping up with the NBA, the (L)-eastern conference was dominated by the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons this season, while my defending Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers have really struggled to stay relevant and will end as the 4th seed in the playoffs. This sets them off to play against Washington Wizards, a team that they have built up a strong rivalry the past two years.

In 05-06 the Cavaliers squeaked by the Wizards in 6 (4-2) games behind Damon Jones' game winning 3-pointer off of one of LeBron's many beautiful passes of the night. They would go on to lose to the Detroit Pistons in the the Semi's.

In 06-07 the Cavaliers swept the short-handed Wizards (gilbert arenas was injured) 4-0. LeBron would go on to beat the Pistons 4-2 in the Conference Finals, a series that will be remembered for LeBrons 49point explosion including the final 24 of the Cavaliers 25 points in a double-overtime win in game 5.

If these recent clases between the two teams wasn't enough to make this years matchup much anticipated, during this years regular season another spark was added to the raging flame. A little known player on the Wizards, DeShawn Stevenson calls out Lebron and says he is overrated and that he is in Jay-Z's shorts or something of the sort.

Jay-Z and LeBron are toite and many think LeBron will change teams to the New Jersey Nets when his contract in Cleveland is up, since Jay-Z is part owner of the Nets. Back to deshawn...so LeBron responds to deshawn, even though he is a no-namer, saying that LeBron is to deshawn what Jay-Z is to Soulja-boyTake that deshawn! (no offense to Soulja-boy, he's cool) Deshawn then goes on to say that he will buy Soulja boy courtside tickets to watch the wizards bea the Cavs next time they are in town. The public spat ends with that, but this "beef" will likely be settled on the court in the next two weeks.

GO CAVS! GO LEBRON!
